OpenSimulator

OpenSimulator, usually referred to as OpenSim, is the open source software version of the virtual world of Second Life.

3DEmbodiment operates numerous islands for education and business on the OpenSim platform. This platform offers many advantages over Second Life virtual worlds. 3DEmbodiment clients can have complete control over access to their OpenSims and set their own policies.

An OpenSim can provide much more flexibility for 3Dembodiment clints. For example, educators who want to run K-12 courses can control who has access and avoid unwanted interruptions. In addition, OpenSim can be the preferred platform when the Second Life Teen Grid, which is for those aged 13-17, does not meet client requirements.

3DEmbodiment can provide OpenSim islands on dedicated servers, or assist with setting up OpenSim software on a client's server.
